Welcome Bags (August 20, 21, 22 & 26)
We will go out into the streets of UVA in groups of two to three to distribute Welcome Bags to international students and invite them to a Welcome Picnic on the following Sunday (August 31). The Welcome Bags are hand-made by a church in Roanoke. Please join us for a Welcome Bag stuffing party on Friday, August 16.

We welcome donations of free items to include in bags. Here are some ideas:
· Note Pads
· Post it notes
· Reusable cups
· Pens
· Pencils
· Scissors
· Granola bars (with no chocolate)
· Highlighters
· Pencil sharpeners
· Thumb drive (USB drive)
· Flashlight
· Mini fan
· TicTac’s
· Chewing gum
· UVA bling
· Mixed nuts
· ISI bookmark
· ISI brochure with website
·Charlottesville maps
· UVA Maps
· Bus Maps
Not preferred:
· Chocolate
· Anything that can melt
· Water bottles
· Chips or things that crush easily
· Bibles and tracts (please save these for the Welcome Picnic.)
