ISI provided a vehicle to take international students and scholars on a guided tour of the historic Appomattox Court House, where the Civil War was effectively concluded. This is a unique opportunity to learn about American history. Trip Details:
Meet at UVA's Aquatic Fitness Center by 9:30 AM. We will leave promptly for Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. We'll start with lunch on arrival, followed by a 2.5-hour guided tour of the historic site. 7:30PM Drop off at UVA. The first 15 days of April 1865 were two of the most important weeks in the history of America. ISI will make a trip to Appomattox Virginia to help you learn about the famous events of that time period. The trip will be fun, informative, and will help you as an International student to learn about this important time, not only in American history, but also about how it still impacts America today. It will be led by a friend of ISI, Dan Gritsko who has led ISI student trips in the past. He has over 30 years experience in the travel industry and has led tours in a number of cities.
